Centennial SEA Summary/Resources
on Recent News Events (updated 1/13/25)
Dear Fellow Centennial Special Education Families,
Centennial Special Education Alliance was created to support fellow parents locally. To connect them to each other for shared experiences and resources. Our hearts are broken about the current news events from Davis Elementary.
We are creating this page to share the updated news sources and publicly available information.
We would also like to suggest some actionable items for our community. Please see links below.

Do not stop speaking to each other. This is our community. We are entitled to seek truth. We will let our voices and concerns be heard. We request true transparency. We expect BEST practices and safety at all times for our kids.
There are families who need our support. We are a powerful community. Our kids might have a limited voice. Ours will not be silenced. Reach out to each other.
Do not stop advocating for your child. If you need help, ask in our FB Centennial SEA Family Group, or check out our website for resources.
Much love,
Centennial Special Education Alliance

Actionable items
You don't need to have long, eloquent thoughts. (if you do, great!). Emailing any of the entities below is GREAT advocacy. Let them know your thoughts and concerns. Ask them any questions you have. Make any suggestions you want. Let them know our community is paying attention and wants truth and corrective action.
Contact PA Department of Special Education
The PA Dept of Special Education has a Dispute Resolution process, as well as a Special Education Consult Line.
